This is a unique opportunity to help shape the next chapter of a mission-driven company. This role reports directly to the Co-Founder and COO, and will lead Customer Success, Sales and Lifecycle Marketing. You’ll work alongside a highly collaborative, low-ego team that genuinely cares for another, doing meaningful work that improves how people experience leadership at work.
Why This Role Matters
This isn't a traditional “Head of Sales” role.
We're looking for an operationally excellent, systems-minded leader who can drive cross-functional alignment across Sales, Customer Success and Marketing to enable scalable, sustainable growth without adding unnecessary complexity. We need someone who can model living our mantra of ‘simplify to amplify’ while naturally pulling these functions into one coherent motion rather than three parallel ones. The right person will help us scale intelligently — improving retention and expansion, increasing deal size, simplifying systems and tooling, building exceptional teams, and creating the operational infrastructure needed to support the next chapter of growth.
You're also not starting from zero. We have great momentum, deep customer love, increasing deal sizes, growing expansion revenue, and a clear view into the levers that will help us scale.

What You’ll Do
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, align and evolve the Sales, Customer Success and Lifecycle Marketing functions with a focus on collaboration, customer experience, scale and sustainable growth without adding unnecessary complexity. The key is building one coherent motion rather than three parallel ones.
- Practice what we preach at Elevate and be an exceptional leader and manager.
- Hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing, high-trust Sales, Customer Success and Lifecycle Marketing organization. Current org includes 7 with 3 direct reports with a planned headcount of ~14 by 2029.
- Effectively and thoughtfully manage change as we grow and scale.
Revenue Growth & Customer Expansion
Sales
- Increase net revenue retention, accelerate land-and-expand growth, and grow average deal size through stronger executive engagement, account strategy, and customer lifecycle management
- Design and operationalize a repeatable executive engagement strategy from initial sale through renewal, ensuring executive buyers remain aligned to measurable business outcomes
- Build structured expansion pathways across accounts that increase multi-product adoption, long-term partnerships, and strategic account growth
- Identify leading indicators of churn and implement proactive retention strategies
Customer Success
- Evolve and scale Elevate’s customer experience from sales to the hand off to Customer Success, through delivery and expansion improving how we engage, support, and deliver value to customers as we grow.
- Build customer engagement systems that deepen relationships, ensuring they are lightweight to execute while preserving a highly personalized experience.
- Simplify and connect systems, processes, and operational rhythms so teams can execute a great customer experience more efficiently, with greater visibility and cleaner data.
- Use customer data and analytics to improve engagement, program impact and translate customer insights into stronger offerings, positioning, and growth opportunities.
- Build scalable processes that make it easier to capture customer success stories, referrals, and testimonials.
Lifecycle Marketing
- Understand the lifecycle of a customer and own the marketing communication strategy to ensure it’s a good experience for our customers, reinforces Elevate’s market positioning and supports the revenue retention and expansion we want to drive.
- Segment our customers and target those segments with value add emails and email automations. Give direction to marketing to create the resources for a true lifecycle marketing program.
- Partner on the commercialization of new offerings helping shape positioning, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy
Who We’re Looking For
Required Experience
- Experience scaling a services business to double digit millions in revenue
- Experience leading both Sales, Customer Success teams in the HR/People Space/L&D
- Experience leveraging AI to improve GTM execution and customer experience
- Experience overseeing or advising lifecycle marketing and retention marketing initiatives
- Strong operational and systems orientation
- Excellent strategic and analytical thinking capabilities
- Experience working with and optimizing CRM systems (Hubspot), Claude, Google Workspace, project management platforms like Asana, and other AI platforms
- Demonstrated ability to hire, onboard, and develop high-performing teams
- Strong change management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Operated in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
