Effective date: October 29, 2026
These Ellie Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Elevate Leadership, Inc., a Florida corporation ("Elevate," "we," "us"). They govern your subscription to and use of Ellie, our connector that makes Elevate's leadership video library available inside Anthropic's Claude.
Please read these Terms carefully. Your Ellie subscription renews automatically until you cancel (Section 5). These Terms also require that most disputes be resolved by individual binding arbitration instead of in court, and they waive class actions and jury trials, unless you opt out within 30 days (Section 17).
You accept these Terms when you check the box at sign-up or when you use Ellie. If you do not agree, do not subscribe to or use Ellie. Our Ellie Privacy Notice at elevateleadership.com/ellie/privacy explains how we handle your information and is part of these Terms.
These Terms cover individual Ellie subscriptions. If your organization has a separate signed agreement with Elevate that covers Ellie, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.
Ellie lets Claude search Elevate's library of leadership video classes. When you ask Claude a question Ellie can help with, Ellie returns matching video titles, links, lengths and descriptions, plus the full transcript and short excerpts for the top 3 results, and Claude writes an answer from them. We may add, update or remove videos and change Ellie's features over time.
To use Ellie, you must:
If we learn that you live outside the United States, we may cancel your subscription and refund what you paid for the current period.
Anthropic provides Claude under its own terms. Anthropic decides which Claude plans support connectors, and it may change or stop offering Claude features, or remove Ellie from its directory, without our involvement. We are not responsible for Claude, and Ellie may stop working if Anthropic makes a change like that. Section 13 explains what happens if we can no longer offer Ellie.
Anthropic is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Ellie.
You sign in with your email address and a 6-digit code or sign-in link we email to you. Your subscription is personal to you. Do not share your access, your sign-in codes or links, or your connected Claude account with anyone. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your email account secure. Tell us promptly at hello@elevateleadership.com if you think someone has used your account without permission. We may suspend access if we suspect unauthorized use.
5.1 Plans and prices. Ellie is offered on monthly and annual plans at the prices shown at checkout. Prices do not include applicable taxes, which may be added to your charges.
5.2 Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period for another period of the same length, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method through Stripe at the start of each new period without further action from you.
5.3 How to cancel. You can cancel online at any time through Stripe's customer portal at billing.stripe.com/p/login/6oU4gA6HWcRBd8C0U7dMI00, or through the link in your subscription emails. You can also cancel by emailing hello@elevateleadership.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep access until then and will not be charged again.
5.4 Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and we do not give refunds or credits for partial periods, except where the law requires or these Terms say otherwise. If you cancel an annual plan within 14 days after your first purchase or an annual renewal, we will refund that annual payment in full, and your access will end when we issue the refund.
5.5 Reminders. For annual plans, we will email you a reminder at least 15 and no more than 45 days before each renewal, with the renewal date, the price and how to cancel. We will also email every subscriber at least once a year with your plan, its price and how to cancel.
5.6 Price changes. We may change Ellie's prices. If we raise the price of your plan, we will email you at least 7 and no more than 30 days before your first charge at the new price, with instructions for cancelling. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before that charge.
5.7 Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe may try again, and your subscription may show as past due. We may suspend Ellie until payment is made or end your subscription if it remains unpaid.
5.8 Discount codes. Discount codes are subject to any terms stated with them, may expire, have no cash value, and cannot be combined unless we say so. We may cancel a discount obtained through misuse.
5.9 Complimentary access. We may give some people free or discounted access, such as Elevate staff, reviewers or promotional users. We may end complimentary access at any time. Otherwise, these Terms apply in full.
5.10 Payment processing. Stripe processes Ellie payments, and Stripe's terms also apply to your payment. Please keep your payment information current.
While your subscription is active, and as long as you follow these Terms, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use Ellie through Claude, and to view the Elevate videos, transcripts and related materials Ellie returns ("Content"), for your own learning and professional development, including in your work.
You may not, and may not help anyone else to:
Elevate and its licensors own Ellie, the Content and all related intellectual property. The Elevate and Ellie names and logos are our trademarks. These Terms give you no rights except the license in Section 6. If you send us feedback or ideas about Ellie, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Claude, not Elevate, writes the answers you see. Claude works from the results Ellie returns, but its answers may be incomplete or inaccurate, and they may misstate or go beyond what our videos say. Our videos and transcripts are Elevate's content; Claude's summaries of them are not. We are not responsible for Claude's answers or for how Anthropic handles your conversations. Use your own judgment, and check the original video when it matters.
Ellie and the Content provide general education on leadership and professional development. They are not legal, human resources, medical, mental health, financial or other professional advice, and they are not coaching or therapy. Using Ellie does not create a coaching or other professional relationship with Elevate. For decisions about a specific employee or workplace matter, talk with your human resources team or a lawyer. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the United States, or call 911 in an emergency.
Our Ellie Privacy Notice explains what we collect and how we use it. Please do not include health or other sensitive personal information in your questions, and avoid identifying other people when you do not need to. You are responsible for the information you choose to share.
Ellie relies on services from other companies, including Anthropic (Claude), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting) and Wistia (video hosting). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for services we do not control.
You can stop using Ellie and cancel at any time under Section 5.3.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we suspect fraud or misuse, or if the law requires it. We may also stop offering Ellie, or stop offering it through Claude. If we end your subscription for any reason other than your breach, or we stop offering Ellie, we will refund the unused portion of your prepaid fees on a pro rata basis.
Sections 7 through 12 and 14 through 22 continue to apply after your subscription ends.
ELLIE AND THE CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, ELEVATE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT ELLIE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR ALWAYS AVAILABLE THROUGH CLAUDE, THAT ANY ANSWER WILL BE ACCURATE, OR THAT USING ELLIE WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THESE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS: (A) ELEVATE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO ELLIE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE; AND (B) ELEVATE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO ELLIE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR ELLIE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO THE EXTENT THE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT THEM.
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and indemnify Elevate and its officers, employees and contractors against third-party claims, and related losses and reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of Ellie or the Content.
17.1 Try to resolve it first. Before starting arbitration or a court case, the person bringing the claim must send the other a written notice describing the dispute and the relief sought. Notices to Elevate go to legal@elevateleadership.com and to the address in Section 22. Notices to you go to the email on your account. We will both try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 60 days after the notice.
17.2 Agreement to arbitrate. If we cannot resolve it, you and Elevate agree that any dispute arising from or relating to Ellie or these Terms will be resolved by final, binding arbitration on an individual basis, except as Section 17.4 provides. The arbitrator decides questions about the scope, enforceability and arbitrability of this Section 17, except that a court decides questions about Section 17.5. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section 17.
17.3 How arbitration works. The American Arbitration Association ("AAA") will administer the arbitration under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, including its mass arbitration procedures where they apply, available at adr.org. A single arbitrator will decide the dispute. Any hearing will take place by video, by phone or in the county where you live, as you choose. AAA fees are allocated as the Consumer Arbitration Rules provide, which places most of them on Elevate. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could, but may award declaratory or injunctive relief only in favor of the individual party seeking it and only as needed for that party's individual claim.
17.4 Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either of us may also ask a court to stop infringement or misuse of its intellectual property.
17.5 Class action and jury trial waiver. You and Elevate may bring claims against each other only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims. YOU AND ELEVATE EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. If a court decides that this Section 17.5 cannot be enforced as to a particular claim or remedy, that claim or remedy, and only that one, will be decided by a court after any individual claims in arbitration are resolved.
17.6 Opting out. You may opt out of this agreement to arbitrate by emailing legal@elevateleadership.com within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Include your name, the email on your account, and a clear statement that you are opting out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
17.7 Courts. Any dispute not subject to arbitration will be decided only in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, except for small claims cases, and you and Elevate consent to those courts' jurisdiction.
California law governs these Terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 17. This choice of law does not take away any protection you have under the consumer protection laws of the state where you live.
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version and update the effective date. For a material change, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep your subscription after that date, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree, cancel before then. A change to Section 17 will not apply to a dispute for which notice was already given. Price changes follow Section 5.6.
